Mr. Moctezuma’s has practiced at leading law firms in Mexico and the United States, and his experience extends to a wide range of business matters, and has successfully represented both public and private sector clients in Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Hong Kong, Japan, France, Mexico and the United States. He is primarily concentrated in advising clients in structuring, documenting and negotiating domestic and international business transactions in the real estate, energy, transportation, services and construction industries, as well as representing and developing strategies for clients in cross-border litigation counseling, and arbitration. He is currently handling a list of cases involving the recognition and enforcement of multimillion dollar foreign judgments in Mexico.
His experience in the energy industry covers a wide variety of projects, and has successfully represented a United States oil company in its oil ventures in Mexico. His experience in this area of law also includes advising a group of lenders in the financing of two major energy projects in Mexico.
He represented a shipping company in the purchase and sale of various vessels, and also advised a Mexican financial institution in the financing of a number of aircrafts. On different transactions, he has acted as lead Mexican counsel for mid size and large U.S. air companies in their aviation, airport, corporate and insurance regulatory matters. He represented a major United States air carrier in its first international operations in Mexico.
