In the electric area, the firm has represented cogeneration companies in public bids called by governmental agencies, strategic alliances, and implementation of legal and tax structures for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of electric hydroelectric plants within the Mexican territory, mergers, acquisitions and restructuring. In the natural gas area, our firm has represented, among others, natural gas pipelines companies and local distribution companies in distribution and transportation projects, infrastructure, purchase and sell of pipelines, public works and agreements. In the oil area, we have primarily worked as legal counsel to transnational oil companies doing business in Mexico, and to PEMEX, the state-owned oil company, in the legal analysis of its obligations under public works agreements and in arbitration procedures regarding such agreements.
